In this Edwardian ring, an exceedingly fine black Australian opal displays its large patches of color in a splendid array. At 3.8 carats (13 x 9.9 x 5.2 mm), the opal holds a kaleidoscope of hues.

Dominating are hummingbird neon blues and greens, with a significant patch of orange, yellow and several smaller flashes or the rare, flame reds so sought after.

Every angle reveals new depths of its expressive personality. A rim of old mine cut diamonds. Eighteen chunky glittering lovelies in all weight in at 1.08 carats. Their color range is H-I and their clarity is SI1-2 with only clear, small invisible to the eye inclusions.

In 18k yellow gold, the opal is prong set and the diamonds are supported by a "U" shaped open, gallery. A tapered shank is softly polished and silky smooth.
