Two youths, each hand-carved and distinct, possess wavy hair, sweet eyes, and chubby cheeks. One youth wears a sunny smile, while the other a more reflective mood.

They are set in a 10k yellow gold surround of vibrant mauve and lilac amethysts that total 2.08 carats. Textured, the gold background is also serrated on the bezel and edges.

Another amethyst serves as a surmount for the shepherd's hook ear wires.

Each baby measures 8 x 7 mm and they are exquisitely carved in three-dimensional detail. The modern surmounts and hooks are created with 14k.
