Description

Meticulously rendered, these dangle earrings lift their inspiration from rose buds.

In two colors of 15k gold, green and rose, and with silver backs for the outermost petals, they are breathtaking.

A perfect wearable length at 1 3/8 inches, the leaves are designed in green gold (naturally) and textured and sculpted to mirror reality.

Beneath is suspended dark, rose gold petals with engraved veins and realistic dimpling and texture.

At the back, the roses are encased in two more petals of sterling silver. Even the tops of the buds are decorated with tiny gold sepals. Edwardian, they date to 1915. Modern shepherd's hook ear wires are 10k yellow gold.

Fun Fact: It is an unusual dating demarcation to use hand-engraved Roman numerals. The back of one with 19 and the other 15. This is surely the jeweler's mark for the year they were created. This is the first time we have seen this.
