Victorian and dating to circa 1860, these dangling and articulated earrings were created in 15k yellow gold. In a remarkable five parts, their length of 1 3/4 inch begins with a subtle snake motif surmount.

Two tiny granulations of gold represent the eyes, and applied wire work accents the head. From this is suspended an umbrella of scalloped gold with additional wire work.

Beneath hangs a sphere of gold and around the equator, more similar twisted gold. Another petite cap rests above three graduated orbs.
