M.B. Bryant and Co., was part of the cabal of noted jewelry firms from Newark, New Jersey and New York, and this ring was a creation from their designers. 

Their history dates back to 1858, producing fine jewelry until around 1931. 

This ring of 18k white gold filigree, features a faceted natural amethyst. Set east and west, it radiates with a royal purple hue. At the center, is a tiny diamond in white gold. 

Bezel set, the frame boasts arched, incised patterns. Open work flowers and leaves grace the sides and under-gallery. It rests low on the hand.
